Hey guys I know there are a number of you that live near Seattle. I will be flying out there to visit my dad who lives in Des Moines. I will also be in the Mount Vernon area for part of my trip. I will be in Washinton Aug. 29th thru Sep. 10th. I'm looking to get a Herf or 2 together while I am out there.

The only date that does not work for me is the 31st. Other then that right now I am open and am willing to travel. Sightunseen aka Tony has already said he might be down. Any other takers my Northwest BORKs? Oh and also need ideas for a place to hold the Herf!!!!

I'm in Bellingham (Just north of Mount Vernon). Depending on the time and day I might be able to swing something.

I'm down! If we get one going on the 4th (saturday) My roommate (jihiggs on the forum) and I could probably host too. Our place is just a humble bachelor pad, but we have a big yard and a fire pit :^) Hey Tony! What do you say? Now we just need to convince the Squirrel to head up here and Laker to come down...

Another thought would be to meet up at the Snoqualmie Casino cigar lounge, that place is great! It is a bit of a journey from here, but it's a thought...

Finally...a herf in the great Pacific Northwest. I am definitely down, I just need to check my calendar to see which days work for me. As for venue, Duder's place would be extra convenient for me (I think I live about 15 minutes from him) but I can also do the Sno Casino as well. My B&M also lets people "unofficially" smoke inside so I can ask the owner if he's willing to have us at the store.

It would be awesome if the other PNW BORKS can show up (looking at you laker, dennis, and squirrel).

Would you be able to make it to a herf in Seattle or would it have to be closer to you? I will be up that way for approx. a week or so if you can't make it down.

I'm liking the 4th as the date for the Herf. As it looks right now that might be the day I will be traveling from Mt. Vernon to Des Moines so that would workout great for me....but like I said I'm on vacation and am very flexible. Tony have you had a chance to check your schedule?

I like the idea of having it at someones house or B&M. Looking at the map the casino is a little ways out there. My question is would it be worth the trip? If it's a fantastic place to go I wouldn't shoot it down but I was thinking of keeping it easy for people to get to. What are the options for B&M's?

Well, technically it's illegal to smoke in a business in WA, so if we hit a B&M it would be a first for me. It would be very cool though... Our house is pretty much on the way between Mt Vernon and Des Moines, so that works too.

So it sounds like we are limited to where we can have the herf if we can not smoke inside of business'. So our only legal places to smoke would be the casino or Duders place?

Yup. Although I am curious about which shop Tony goes to...

Well that's a pretty simple one for me. My vote is for Duder's place if it's still open. The casino just seems too far out of the way for a day trip if everyone that is coming will be from the Seattle area. I'm interested in hearing which shop Tony goes to as well.

I vote for duders place as well! I live there! the casino is cool and all, but its kinda loud, I cant make out conversation too good with lots of background noise, might be better during the day.

Thought he said he was in the busy season....could be mistaken and hope he can make it. I'm the same way as far as background noise or any kind of noise I just can't hear.
